Why you should choose a water softener:

The water in the Balearic Islands is very hard (high in calcium).

What happens if no water softening system is used:

Limescale deposits in household pipes, kettles, coffee machines, but also in water heaters, washing machines, etc. The result: The appliances have to be descaled frequently.

Dry, flaky skin after showering and brittle, straw-like hair can also be a result of showering and washing with hard water.

Towels feel rough and scratchy after washing, and clothes are stiff and rigid. Colors appear pale and gray, and the fabric is brittle.

In the bathroom, limescale often builds up on faucets, shower walls, and tiles. In the kitchen, cutlery and dishes come out of the dishwasher with streaks.
